About Robert McIntire

          Robert McIntire is the founder and executive director of Freedom to Live Counseling in Colorado Springs, Colorado, an organization he established in February 2004 with the vision of helping individuals and families find hope, healing, and freedom. With more than two decades of counseling experience, Rob has dedicated his career to walking alongside men, couples, and families as they face the challenges of sex addiction, substance abuse, intimacy anorexia, trauma, and other personal and relational struggles. His practice has become a trusted place for those seeking both recovery and restoration in their personal lives and marriages.

          Beyond his counseling work, Rob is a sought-after speaker who regularly addresses topics such as men’s issues, sexual purity, healthy masculinity, intimacy in relationships, and the process of long-term recovery. His practical approach, grounded in compassion and real-world understanding, has made him a respected voice in conferences, workshops, and church communities alike.

          Rob and his wife, Danielle, make their home in Colorado, where they enjoy investing in their family and community. Rob has four sons and two grandsons. Rob’s personal and professional life reflects his commitment to faith, family, and the belief that genuine transformation is possible when people are given the tools and support they need.

I hold a Master's Degree in Instructional Design from Colorado Christian University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Simpson University. I also have completed extensive post-graduate work in the areas of marriage and family therapy, sex therapy, and addiction counseling at the Colorado School of Family Therapy.

I am a Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) in Colorado. I am also trained in EMDR. As a licensed therapist, I adhere to ethical standards and best practices.
